Hi everyone,

Today I’ve decided to write an article just to show you guys some photos I’ve taken these past few days. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, I know it has been really hard for a lot of people because of the US presidential elections. When I woke up on wednesday and I saw that most of the states were red, I thought it was a big joke. I’ve spent an entire year in the state of Washington and Oregon, and I didn’t know anybody that appreciated Trump, I’ve never heard any good things about him. Even though, it’s not the president of my country, I was really sad when I saw he became the president of the United States because of the fact that he got elected even with all the awful things he said. Especially about black people, women, transgenders, homosexuality, he also denies climate change, it just shocks me that someone like him can lead the most powerful country in the world. I really thought that mentalities started growing and being more open minded. But maybe I was wrong; instead of going forward, I feel like humanity is going to take a step backward. I just want a world where everyone can be equal and have the same rights. Also, the French presidential elections are in april, and the fact that Trump is president has a big impact in the entire world, and I’m scared. I don’t want someone like him to lead my country. I also think violence doesn’t solve anything and that people should stick together, love eachother and fight for their rights together without violence. It’s really important. But anyway, we will see what happens!!

Let’s talk about positive things now :-)))) well, in a month I’m going back to Portland for 2 weeks and I’ll spend Christmas there and I’m really excited. I miss everyone. When I’m there I really feel like I’m home; because I can be me without any doubt. It can sound weird, but sometimes in France, in the city I live, I cannot fully be the person I am without being judged. And it feels so damn good when you realize you are free to be who you really are.

I’m starting my application for the school I want to go to, in Montreal. I’m sooooo excited, I have to create a portfolio of 20-25 photos, and it’s hard to choose between photos, if you guys could pick 2 or 3 photos in this article (your favorites) and write me a little comment telling me which ones you like the most. It would be great and helpful 🙂

I took some photos of my friend, Amaya last weekend and the light was so beautiful!!! And I also took some photos of my cousin before she left for Australia for one year; I miss her so much already!! I decided to do the same article for both of them even though the atmosphere is really different. I hope you’ll enjoy them!!! Don’t forget to give me some feedback!!

Have a wonderful sunday everyone,

Love, Léo
